Happy May Everyone, it is almost time for Jam-Fest!
I was speaking with someone today, and they said that they were planning on coming to Jam-Fest, but that they did not remember all of the information; like the time, where to send their checks, when they should send their checks, etc....
So, here we go with some updates and reminders!!
(First, let me say that Dennis will be coming out with some great information and music updates soon - look for them!)
Date: June 5th.
Place: Oak Tree Lodge, Howell, NJ
Time: 12:00 - 7:00PM
Cost: $35.00 pp, children under 5 free
Reservations: Due by May 15th!
*: BYOB
(All of this information is on your Jam-Fest invitation. "Thank You"
to Steve Trachtenberg for designing this for us!)
Rain or Shine! OTL has Pavilions that are HUGE to hold all of us if it rains!
Jam-Fest is open to all of your family and friends, so make this YOUR PARTY!
All of the facilities at Oak Tree Lodge are available to us. That means, if you want to play softball, basketball, horseshoes, miniature golf, tennis, bocci ball, volleyball etc., you can! There is a playground for children, as well as, a child's size pool! This is truly a "family friendly" place. If you want to take a shower after a couple of hours of, let's say, softball, bring your own towels and soap - Everything is there for you to choose to do!
Food! There is going to be an amazing BBQ! All hot food will be cooked to order - you want your hot dog well done, or your burger rare? No problem! None of that "sitting on a plate" for our group! All food will be freshly prepared for us - salads, etc. (Remember that this is a BYOB) There will be plenty of nonalcoholic beverages for you to choose from.
You need to send your checks in now! Jam-Fest is a go! The invitation does say they your paid reservations are May 15th, but why wait? (....ever plan a party and people wait till the "last minute" to respond - don't you just hate that?)
Not all of you who have sent your checks in have responded on this site, and many people are asking "is this one going, or that one going?" It is not a requirement, but why not RSVP here for people to see that you are coming? If you want to post here, you can. (This is a "Private" FB page, and nobody else can view what is here.)
Mail your checks to: OTBBQ Fund, PO Box 401, Oakhurst, NJ 07755! Linda and Kevin are taking care of collecting the checks for us. (Thanks Linda and Kev!)
PLEASE mark your check with how many adults and how many kids (let us know if you are bringing your "adult" or "teen" kids too). Many people are asking if there are going to be any people under 30, 25, 20...you get the idea! It would be nice to be able to let them know. We need to give Oak Tree Lodge a count by May 15th, so please do not delay!
We cannot wait to see all of you!!

Jam Fest 2010 News Hello Everyone! Some Updates on Jam Fest 2010!! There are some exciting things that we would like to share with you.
This past week Mary, Tim, Dennis and Leslie Y got together (Any excuse to get
together!) to add some things for the great day that is planned at Oak
Tree Lodge on June 5, 2010. You are all aware by now that we are going to have live and
recorded music . However, we want you and your kids to be part of that
music as well! There is a lot of talent in our Class of '73, and it is
time to step forward and participate! Many of our children have bands
or sing too! How great would it be to see our kids playing! Get in
touch with Dennis Dubrow. He is handling the music, and he will help you coordinate this. We all need to thank Linda, Kevin and Mindy, who have graciously
stepped up to handle the monies for the event. Linda and Kevin will be
collecting your checks from a PO Box. The address and how to make out
your check is listed below. From there, Linda (or Kevin) will deposit
the money into a bank account that Mindy will be the accountant for.
Mindy will be doing a monthly posting on how much money has been
collected for June 5th, and will let us all know when we have reached our goal!
We have to pay a minimum of $3500.00 to have the party at Oak Tree
Lodge. That means we have to sell 100 tickets. In the event that
we do not meet the minimum and the event is cancelled, ALL CHECKS
ARE 100% refundable. Except for event cancellation, there will be
No Refunds for any other reason. If the event is canceled, anyone who has previously sent their
money in and had marked it with a "Plan B" will have their money
returned as well.
Please Make Your Checks Out To: OTBBQ Fund Please Mail Your Checks To: PO Box 401, Oakhurst, NJ 07755
1. Please indicate on the check how many people you are paying for. 2. You MUST include your email to receive your ticket(s).
The Registration Deadline is May 15th
Tickets will be emailed to you once you have made your paid
reservations. Your ticket will be assigned a number that is specific for your reservation.
So, as the song says, LET'S GET THIS PARTY STARTED!!! JUNE 5TH IS NOT THAT FAR AWAY!!!
